Duncan put a new seat on my used Voltaire Dressage saddle! I
am so happy with how it looks and the new seat is not only beautiful
but it is also super comfortable! The leather Duncan used is
better than the original. Finally, I have a comfortable saddle
that fits me and my horse!

I met Duncan Stewart when my Stuebben Saddle needed new billets. I nervously watched as he took my prized saddle apart before my eyes to make the repair! I shouldn't have worried, as he confidently explained what he was doing, masterfully replaced the old billets, and reassembled my saddle as good as new! He has repaired several bridles, halters, boots, and I also appreciated how he quickly made a pair of specialty training reins that I needed. Buying brand-new reins would have cost significantly more in terms of time waiting and money spent. I now take all my tack, boot or blanket repairs to Mr. Stewart. He's always able to fix my items in a timely manner and for a fair cost.

Duncan has assisted me in fitting saddles on both of my hard-to-fit horses. He has re-flocked three of my saddles and has done an excellent job making sure they are properly fitted and balanced. In addition, he has replaced the zippers on my field boots -- extending their life -- and they look great! I would highly recommend Duncan's services.

Just wanted to make a comment on the work done on my saddle by Duncan. He replaced the whole of one panel with better leather than had been used. This was an expensive saddle that developed a hole on one side. The job Duncan did was flawless. I was very impressed and called him back to balance the saddle on my horse. This saddle had been made to fit my horse but did not fit. Duncan adjusted the saddle and it worked out great. He also replaced the
billetts on two other saddles and once again extremely good work! I recommend Duncan and can show photos etc. or speak to anyone who wants a reference.

I was having
trouble finding a bridle to fit my new horse. I acquired a nice used one
from a friend but it was too big. Fortunately Leatherworks was at one of our
shows. Duncan shortened parts of the bridle to make it a perfect fit. It
does not look like it was worked on, the quality is that good. He worked
fast and the price was excellent. I would not hesitate to have him repair
any leather items. Now I know who to go to when my boot zippers break!

All of my saddles are at
least 30 years old. One child-sized Stuebben was bought used over forty
years ago and is still going strong. Duncan Stewart has been working on the
saddles for years keeping them in excellent condition.
